Premium is the paid subscription for Contingencias. The app is free with a basic feature set (weather, main city, simple notifications), and Premium adds everything an agricultural producer needs to make decisions.
What Premium unlocks
- Vigía — 14 ready-to-use weather presets + custom rules (see "What is Vigía and how does it work?")
- Fields — up to 5 custom locations with advanced data on exact coordinates (see "What are Fields and what are they for?")
- Advanced Data — ET0 (evapotranspiration), water balance, chill hours, air quality, fire risk
- Professional hail detection — radar + satellite cross-referenced with instant push
- Nearby earthquakes — alert by magnitude and configurable radius
- No ads on any screen
- Extended 14-day forecast with trend and historical bias
How to activate
Several paths depending on where you are:
- From the dashboard banner — if you're on the free plan, you'll see an orange "Premium" banner at the top of the app. Tap it and go straight to the plans screen
- From Settings — Settings → Premium opens the same screen
- From a locked feature — if you tap Vigía, Fields, or Advanced Data without Premium, it takes you to the paywall with a contextual message
Plans and pricing
Three plans, paid via App Store or Google Play:
- Monthly — USD 2.99/month. 3-day free trial. Good if you want to try before committing
- Annual — USD 19.99/year. 7-day free trial. Saves ~44% compared to monthly. Most recommended
- Lifetime — USD 99.99 once. No renewal. For those who prefer not to think about subscriptions
All plans include all features. The only difference is total cost and commitment length.
Canceling or pausing
Subscriptions are managed from the stores (App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android), not from within the app. Tap Settings → Premium → Manage subscription and you're taken directly to the relevant screen. You can cancel auto-renewal and continue using Premium until the end of the paid period.
Restoring purchases
If you switched devices or reinstalled the app, purchases are restored by logging in with the same App Store / Google Play account. If it doesn't restore automatically, use Settings → Premium → Restore purchases.
