If you've been a Contingencias Premium user for a while, you probably had notification toggles enabled in Settings → Notifications (frost, nearby hail, lightning, earthquakes, weather events, etc.).
When we launched Vigía, we didn't want to ask you to re-enable everything from scratch. So we automatically migrated your settings the first time you logged in after the update.
What was migrated?
Each active toggle in Settings was converted to a Vigía preset activated on your main city and on each of your fields. The mapping was:
frostnotifications→ preset Frostnear_hail_notifications→ preset Hail nearbylightningnotifications→ preset Lightning nearbyearthquakenotifications→ preset Nearby earthquakestorm_hurricane→ preset Hurricane or tropical stormstorm_tornado→ preset Tornadostorm_severe→ preset Severe stormstorm_flood→ preset Floodstorm_winter→ preset Winter stormstorm_heat→ preset Extreme heatstorm_fire→ preset Fire riskweather_events_smn→ preset Official weather warningweather_events_fire→ preset Official wildfire risk
What about thresholds?
The migration used each preset's default thresholds (adjusted to each field's crop type where applicable). If you had custom thresholds from the old UI, you'll need to re-apply them from the preset's detail screen.
Should I check it?
Yes, we recommend opening Advanced → My Vigía Alerts and verifying:
- The presets you expected are there, with badge "ACTIVE · X/Y"
- The threshold for each one is reasonable for your operation
- They're active on the right targets (city + the fields you care about)
If something doesn't look right, adjust it from the preset's detail. More in "Activating and deactivating presets" and "Changing alert thresholds".
Do the old toggles still work?
The legacy toggles in Settings → Notifications will remain visible for a few months to avoid confusion, but they no longer control anything. All alert logic now runs through Vigía. Once we're confident everyone has migrated, we'll remove them from the screen.
What if I'm logging in for the first time now?
The migration runs every time you log in, but it's idempotent: if the presets already exist, it won't duplicate them. You can log in a thousand times and nothing will break.
